Engaging Digital Events Key Insights | Part 2 of 2
As you start any journey, in addition to your map, you need your bearings. Here are the final three of seven key insights that will clarify where you are and where you are headed for your event’s creation (or re-creation).
5. It Doesn’t Have to be Live.
Going live and putting everything on broadcast the day of is not the only option for digital events. You have the opportunity to record components ahead of time. Plan to incorporate pre-recorded videos, and even consider recording your entire event. Also, consider that you could pay to have a signature video made for your event that you can reuse after the event to increase the impact of your video investment.
6. It Doesn’t Have to be Expensive.
Big spending for event production is not always necessary for a successful digital fundraising event. Complete this booklet and course. Then, decide if and how much production assistance is needed to achieve your vision for the event and its affiliated mission.
7. Take Action
In the High Impact Institute’s Leading in Turbulent Times course, we challenge nonprofit leaders to consider that “it is not about making the perfect decision. It’s about making your decision, and then making it perfect.” There is no perfect way to host a digital event. There are so many options to select from, but you are not limited to them.
Your event doesn’t have to be what it was in the past or what you first thought of doing as a digital duplicate. Now is your time to be bold and create opportunities.
Now that you have your bearings, you’re ready to follow your HERO map to your destination of putting on a successful digital event that inspires and motivates your attendees.
